Family-centered strategies is what we strive for. I like to imbed the family's daily routines, likes/dislikes into the therapy so every client has his/her own tailored lessons. I also like to provide caretakers summary and take-home message to implement carry-over strategies for better prospects.
I work around your daily routines and cultures to tailor my evaluations and treatment. Therefore, clients coming from different backgrounds will feel included and respected.
Constant communication between the clinician and the caregivers is an established expectation for services. I am always welcome to know what works and what does not to frequently adapt to the clients' learning styles and personality.
